If there was one thing 19-year-old Amy Diesman didn’t shy away from, it was hard work. She had been an Honours student at high school in her home town of New Richmond in Ohio, and now she was single-handedly raising a baby while studying nursing on a full scholarship just over the state line in Kentucky.

So when she realised she needed a little more money to make ends meet in the early autumn of 1987, she didn’t hesitate to take a job at a convenience store working the night shift. However, little did she know that this would be the place her short life would end — and that 35 years later, her murder would remain unsolved.
