Florida Jane Doe Identified — And Linked to Killer Cop

DNA has identified the remains of a young girl after 50 years, and police now think she was murdered by a notorious serial killer.

The remains of a young girl found murdered in Florida nearly 50 years ago have finally been identified after advanced DNA testing was carried out on them, investigators have announced.

Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said in a press conference the bones were found in 1974 and have now been identified as belonging to 15-year-old Susan Poole, who went missing in 1972.

Furthermore, Sheriff’s Detective William Springer said that based on the location of the crime scene, it is now thought that Susan’s murderer could have been a notorious killer cop called Gerard Schaefer, whom authorities once claimed “made Ted Bundy look like a Boy Scout”.

Susan was reported missing shortly before Christmas in 1972. She had recently dropped out of school and had been living with her family in a trailer park, as well as spending time staying at a friend’s nearby apartment.
