Freed to Strike Again: Erika Verdecia Murdered by Convicted Killer
A man has been charged with the murder of a missing Florida woman — and it turns out she isn’t the first victim he has targeted.
A convicted murderer who was released from prison early has been charged with the death of a young woman from Florida who had been missing for three weeks.
The disappearance of Erika Verdecia, 33, had been reported to police on September 27th 2021 by her family, who became concerned after she left her home three days earlier and never returned.
This was completely out of character for the dedicated mother, who had a six-year-old daughter and had never stayed away from home for a prolonged period before.
Erika’s own mother Carmen Verdecia began reaching out on social media in a bid to find out what had happened to her daughter — and when a friend got in touch to say they had seen her, Carmen’s blood ran cold.
The friend reported that Erika had been spotted with a “grimy” looking man who called himself Eric Pierson at a nearby sandwich shop. After a quick Google search, Carmen found that if the man was who she thought he was, then Erika had last been seen with a convicted murderer.
