I'd like to say I think that she ran away to get away from this horribly abusive household, but the fact that she always looked after her little brother so well makes this seem unlikely. Surely she would have got in touch with him or even gone back for him if she could have done. I suspect the 'parents' took their violence a little too far that last time and poor Angel is dead. Hopefully a revisiting of the cold case is due!
