Police Call for Public’s Help in Catching Long Island Serial Killer

New video footage has been released in the Gilgo Beach case that investigators hope might jog someone’s memory.

Authorities in New York have released new surveillance footage linked to the mysterious Long Island Serial Killer case in the hope that a member of the public might remember details that could help them solve it.

A press conference was held by Suffolk County this week at which Police Commissioner Rodney K Harrison showed the last-known images of a woman they believe fell victim to a murderer more than a decade ago.

Megan Waterman, 22, can be seen in the footage waiting at the front desk of a Holiday Inn in Hauppauge on June 6th 2010. She was originally from Maine, but had been working as an escort to help make ends meet and had advertised her services on Craigslist.

Her body was discovered near Gilgo Beach in December 2010, around 15 miles from the hotel. She had been strangled to death.
