The community of Pea Ridge in Arkansas might be known as a location for one of the American Civil War’s battles, but it is also tiny. It’s the sort of place where everyone knows everyone else, which is why Tina Johnson likely wasn’t worried when her daughter said she was popping out by herself one autumn afternoon.
However, the teenager disappeared without trace, and Tina has faced her own battle ever since to get authorities to take April’s case seriously. Now, with new investigators at the helm, can the family finally hope for justice?
April disappears
It was November 18th 2006, and April Dawn Andrews, 15, was heading out of the home she shared with her mother at Pea Ridge’s King Lane Apartments. She had heard the local church was giving some clothes away and she wanted to check out what was on offer.
