Ethan Walton and Amanda Burney were a young couple with their whole lives ahead of them in 2010. They were looking forward to settling down together and had driven out to run some errands one September morning in their native Oklahoma.

However, little did they know that their paths were about to cross with that of a dangerous killer — and that only one of the loving couple would escape alive.

A deadly appointment

Ethan Walton, 19, had some land he wanted to sell in Pottawatomie County and on September 8th 2010, he had made arrangements to meet with a man who was interested in buying it.

The man was named Glendon Gouker and he was a passing acquaintance of Ethan’s father. Ethan was confident the deal would be done and dusted quickly, and he asked his long-term girlfriend Amanda Burney, 20, to go with him for the ride to nearby Prague.

She agreed and, borrowing her sister’s car, the two set off to find Gouker. When they reached the rural property, Amanda told Investigation Discovery’s Dead Silent she decided to wait in the vehicle while Ethan…
