This really resonated with me as I've been in the same boat. I wrote a trilogy of thriller novels in 2017-18, but really struggled to get them in front of readers. I barely made any money from them at all. I went back to non-fiction writing because I needed to pay the bills somehow, but it has squeezed the amount of time I have for fiction and I haven't published any new books since. People I know still ask when I'm going to write another novel, but the reality is that it isn't really worth my while. I do hope to write another at some point, but I have to concentrate on what will provide an income! Thanks for this article!
