Where is Amanda DeGuio? Police Appeal For Answers
Investigators in Pennsylvania remain baffled over the young mother’s disappearance.
Police in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania have appealed to the public for help in solving the disappearance of a young mother eight years ago.
Amanda DeGuio, 24, was last seen at her home in Delaware County on June 3rd 2014 after she and her family returned from a trip to a Disney resort.
Her mother Joanne spoke to her before leaving for work that morning, but that was the last time anyone saw the mother-of-two. Amanda apparently vanished without a trace, leaving behind her cell phone and credit cards and taking no clothes with her.
Since Amanda did not drive, it is also a mystery how she left the Upper Darby area. Although police investigated a sighting shortly afterwards in Kensington, it turned out that the woman was someone else.
Amanda’s family hired a private investigator to look for her, which led to old advertisements for escort services on Craiglist that had been placed alongside Amanda’s picture around a year before she went missing.
Although that lead was followed up on, no trace of Amanda could be found and the case went cold.
