She lay unidentified as a Jane Doe for three decades: a young girl shot and discarded by a Texas highway, whose only distinguishing feature was the distinctive branded T-shirt she was wearing.

But now the murder victim referred to for all that time as ‘Corona Girl’ has been identified, it’s hoped that justice could finally catch up with the person who left her there. So, who killed Sue Ann Huskey — and where are they now?

A body is found

It was September 25th 1989 when two employees from the Texas highway department pulled off I-35 in Jarrell to eat their lunch and go to the bathroom. They couldn’t have known that what happened next would spark a decades-long mystery that still hasn’t been solved.

As one of the workers wandered off the highway and behind a fence to find a quiet spot to relieve himself, he saw a human body lying in the dirt. The horrified man stayed with the body while his colleague called the police, and together they led officers to the deceased young woman.
