Who Killed Lindsey Baum? Police Increase Reward Money to Boost Leads
The ten-year-old disappeared in 2009 and her remains were found in 2017, but there are still no answers as to who murdered her.
Investigators say they have increased the reward money in a cold case murder in Washington state in the hope of generating fresh leads that could help to solve it.
Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Office is now offering $40,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person who killed Lindsey Baum, 10, and new investigators have been assigned to work with state and federal law enforcement on the case.
Lindsey’s disappearance
Lindsey grew up in Tennessee, but had moved with her mother Melissa and brother Joshua to the small town of McCleary in Washington state after her parents divorced in 2007.
On June 26th 2009, Lindsey spent the warm summer’s day playing outside with her friends and speculating about what middle school would be like in a few weeks’ time, Dateline reported. Lindsey and Joshua set out to walk to another friend’s house as late afternoon set in, but the siblings got into a spat on the way there and Joshua decided to carry on home.
