It was March 2019, and 30-year-old Najah Ferrell from Indiana had a busy family life. She had two kids of her own, had fostered three more, and had just started a new job around their schooling to bring in a little extra income for this blended family.

But just days into her new career, Najah disappeared and hasn’t been seen since. Investigators are certain she is dead, but who killed her and why remains a mystery. With the three-year anniversary of her disappearance recently marked, can police find answers in this most perplexing of cases?

Najah goes missing

March 15th 2019 was an early start for Najah, with her morning shift at Panera Bread on the north-west side of Indianapolis requiring a 5:00 AM start and an even earlier wake-up.

According to her mother Paula Gholson, Najah’s fiance and children were the last people to see her at her home near Dan Jones Avenue in Avon at around 3:00 AM.

“She got up for work and told [her fiancé] to get the kids out, because she had to go in. He said that’s the last time he saw her,” she told WTHR.
